Note these Terms and Conditions apply to consignments made after 1st November 2024.

Any consignments made before this date are subject to the terms and conditions from the previous owners which can be found on your consignment email from Moral Fibre.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF CONSIGNING

DROP OFF:

  • All items must be freshly laundered or dry-cleaned prior to drop off.  Shoes need to be in un-scuffed condition.
  • Items will be accepted into stock of Moral Fibre Store at 63 Ponsonby Road on the basis that the owner/supplier accepts all risk, loss, damage, including shoplifting, while their clothes are with Moral Fibre. Moral Fibre will take the utmost love and care while your items are with us
  • At the time of drop off Moral Fibre will ask if you want to pick up items not selected for Sale in the store. If No is chosen, Moral Fibre will responsibly dispose of the items at our discretion (usually donated on your behalf).
  • We aim to process your items within 7 days. We will email you a report of items selected for sale. Any items not taken will not be on your report. This report/list date sent is the date your consignment begins. This email will also contain the expiry date of your items and your customer number. Please note the expiry date as it will be your responsibility to collect any unsold items by this date.
  • If you have chosen to pick up items that have not been selected for sale, these items will only be held for 7 days after the date the email is sent to you. Any items not collected in this time will be responsibly disposed of at Moral Fibre’s discretion (usually donated to one of our Charity Partners)

SELLING YOUR ITEMS:

  • Your items will be priced based on quality, brand, condition and what we know sells in our store (Ponsonby Road/Online).
  • Items will be held on the floor for 8 weeks. If not sold after 4 weeks the price will be reduced by up to 50% at our discretion.  Items still unsold within the 8 weeks will usually be put on the ‘under $20’ dollar sale rack to help them sell through.
  • Please note that due to the large number of Consignors we do not automatically notify you when items have sold (see payment and collection section below)
  • If you wish to collect your items before the 8 week cycle has been completed, there will be a charge of $10 due to the administration required to remove the item from stock and from our online store. You will need to email us to organize this and we will have them ready for you to collect by arrangement.
  • We may decide to keep items for longer than the 8 weeks on the floor – please keep in contact with us regarding  your expiry date. If no contact has been made within 12 weeks from drop off all items will then be disposed of at our discretion (usually donated to one of our Charity Partners).

PAYMENT AND COLLECTION:

  • When you sell your items with Moral Fibre you earn 50% of the excluding GST selling price.
  • It is the responsibility of the Consignor to keep in contact with us regarding what items have been sold and to pick up any unsold items before the expiry date or as agreed with us via email.
  • Due to the number of Consignors we do not automatically notify you when items have sold.
  • Any unsold items that have not been picked up within 12 weeks of drop off will be responsibly disposed of at our discretion (usually donated).
  • Please email sales@moralfibre.co.nz to check what has sold. If you come into the store we can't guarantee that we can do this for you on the spot because the store may be busy with customers or Moral Fibre Management may not be working on that day (Some staff do not have access to Consignors information).
  • When you are ready to be paid simply email us at sales@moralfibre.co.nz with your nominated Bank account and we will transfer the funds within 7 working days or you can choose to use your earnings as Store credit.
  • Consignors funds will be held for 12 months from Sale date, after this date the Consignor's right to any uncollected payments expires after 12 months of the date of sale.
